What does it mean..?
Iron ore generally, were find out as out crop as vein, and or the lateritic on the ground, .. ya. But not that one enough in the world.
There is the Banded Iron Formation. BIF is the iron with in the different style and type of formation.
Mostly the iron founded as lateritic or as vein exposed on the surface, but some of the case be able as banded on the rock formation. The formation is the igneous rocks Diorite in rich quartz some place.
A structure on the igneous rock were the opportunity of the hydrothermal to up lift and trapping the mineral iron in a very thinny space. So that be come the band of iron in the diorite.
It can be a high grade can be a low grade, will base on the minerals injected during hydrothermal processing were on these rocks.
