Quartz Amethyst |
I wrote this as I found during my exploration in High Sulphydation System, Sedimen Hosted, Orogenic Gold , and Low Sulphydation.
- What is the chemical composition of this Silica mineral?
- Where can you find Silica minerals in nature?
- What are the benefits of Silica minerals?
- What are the physical and chemical properties of Silica minerals?
- What are these mineral associations?
Chemical Composition Of Silica
Silica minerals have the main composition of Silicon Dioxide (SiO2) with a slight mixture of other elements as impurities. This other element can Iron, Zinc, Manganese, Titanium, Aluminium, Boron, Calcium, Magnesium, Nickel, Copper, Cadmium, Kalium, Phosphor, Natrium. So it can be seen color clear quartz mineral colorless, yellow, purple, red rose, black, green. Because of these other elements can be concentrated or lacking.
Where can you find Silica mineral in nature?
The mineral Silica is the most dominant composition of the earth crust, so that every where you can found Silica. Silica associate with others mineral such as Feldspars, and Pyroxene, Amphybol to be agregation of rocks. If you are looking for Silica in rocks, then look for rocks that are originally the result of direct magma freezing, e.g. granite rocks, Vein Quartz, Hydrothermal Process results.
When looking for Silica in the form of a sandy, then look for a rock precipitate of a frozen rock erosion. An example of the river that ends the frozen rocks. Yes anything frozen outside or frozen in.
What are the benefits of Silica Minerals?
As far as I know the use of Silica is for the industrial Ceramic, Porcelain, Glass, Silica sand, Silica Gel, Silica Tile, and much more. The Gemstones also use a Silica in special color : Purple Amethyst, Yellowish , Colorless etc.So that explore of these minerals is advantage , no worries to stop. It will be come more and increasing price while no much more stock in the nature. Some time will be.
